Nineteen Fifty-Six is always looking for more students to join our team. Here’s some information about the various opportunities we have for you:

• Writers: As a contributing writer, you’ll pitch creative story ideas for web and print about pop culture, local and national news, and current trends. You’ll conduct interviews, collaborate on visuals, write compelling stories and make connections across campus and Tuscaloosa. 
• Photographers: As a contributing photographer, you’ll take photos for editorial shoots or event coverage for both web and print. You’ll work alongside writers and editors to enhance storytelling through visuals. 
• Designers: As a contributing designer, you’ll produce eye-catching graphics and layouts for articles and promotional materials while collaborating closely with photographers and writers.  
• Videographers: As a videographer, you’ll capture the essence of campus life, tell compelling stories and gain invaluable experience working with the other teams to make content that expands upon topics in our print and web articles.  
• Social media strategists: As a social media team member, you’ll craft compelling content across platforms, analyze page performance and collaborate with our PR team on events and giveaways.  
• PR strategists: As a member of our PR team, you’ll build partnerships with local businesses, craft impactful press releases for launches and events, collaborate with campus organizations, and engage the student body through panels and forums to ensure our community stays informed and involved. 
• Marketing strategists: As a marketing strategist, you will develop innovative campaigns, boost our reach, and gain hands-on experience in media while working with our ad/sales team. 
• Models: Love being in front of the camera? As a Nineteen Fifty-Six model, you will be a part of creative shoots modeling various student and local brands and appearing in print.
